Traditional Judicial system prevailed in Marwar for centuries but in consequence of Maratha invasions and internal disorders even this rough and ready system disintegrated and the judgment seat became vacant.
In May 1938, the Marwar Lok Parishad was born. It was to establish responsible objective as expressed in its constitution, government under the Aegis of the Maharaja.
